Lector doctor, Universitatea Al. I. Cuza, Facultatea de Istorie, specializarea Istorie Moderna. Preocupari originale cu privire la relatiile politice romano-germane intre 1878 si 1914; chestiunea nationala si influenta ei asupra relatiilor romano-austro-ungare; istoria relatiilor culturale romano-germane, perspectiva istoriografica (istorici romani formati la scoli germane); Istoria relatiilor internationale in secolele XVII –XIX, diplomatia si geopolitica Balcanilor. Bursier la Universitatea din Konstanz (Germania), stagii de cercetare intreprinse in cadrul parteneriatului universitar in urmatoarele perioade: 01iulie/31 august 2001, 01-12 septembrie 2001; 01-30 septembrie 2003; 15 aprilie/ 19 mai 2007. Preocupari mai vechi privind activitatea Consulatului austriac din Iasi in epoca Unirii Principatelor. Ele au condus catre elaborarea unui studiu consistent despre personalitatea si intrigile consulului austriac Goedel Lannoy, aflat in curs de publicare (Un opozant inversunat al Unirii Principatelor: Rudolf Oskar baron de Goedel Lannoy). Am lasat la urma preocuparile referitoare la dinamica relatiilor romano-germane in anii primului razboi mondial. Principala tema, o abordare nepartinitoare a neutralitatii romanesti, in perspectiva desprinderii de influenta Triplei Aliante.

Lecturer Ph.D., Al. I. Cuza University, Faculty of History, specialization modern history. Original concerns regarding the Romanian-German political relations between 1878 and 1914, the national issue and its influence on the Austro-Hungarian-Romanian relations; the history of the Romanian-German cultural relations, the historiographical perspective (Romanian historians trained in German schools); the History of the International Relations in the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the diplomacy and the geopolitics of the Balkans. Holder of a scholarship at the University of Konstanz (Germany), stages of research done within the university partnership in the following periods: 01July/31 of August 2001, 01-12 of September 2001; 01-30 of September 2003; 15 of April / May 19, 2007. The older concerns regarding the activity of the Austrian Consulate in Iasi in the epoch of the Union of the Principalities. They have led to the development of a consistent study about the personality and intrigues of the Austrian consul Goedel Lannoy, which is to be published (Un opozant inversunat al Unirii Principatelor: Rudolf Oskar baron de Goedel Lannoy - A bitter opponent of Union principalities: Rudolf Oskar Baron of Goedel Lannoy). I left in the end the concerns regarding the dynamics of the Romanian-German relationships in the years of World War I. The main theme, an unbiased approach of the Romanian neutrality, in the view of the breaking of the influence of the Triple Alliance. The research led us to the development of some studies that will be published in professional magazines or books: Germany, Romania and the crisis in July 1914; The image of the Romanian Ministers in the German diplomatic correspondence (1912-1914); On the footsteps of Hans Benning in Transylvania. The German war propaganda and the reaction of the Hungarian government (1914-1916). A new dimension of the concerns, in the postdoc research, on the occasion of celebrating 150 years since the founding of the first university in Romania follows the past of the international relationships of the institution since its beginnings (1860) until the First World War. A study of important openings for understanding the interference between the institutional project and the international act.
